Shipped 2026-04-24 · Capture Lab notebooks have always had a weak spot: the moment you regret an edit, you can’t get the previous version back. Bower now keeps a full version history of every note, with a viewer that makes diffs legible.

What’s new

  • Automatic versioning — every meaningful save creates a version. No manual “save snapshot” needed.
  • Side-by-side diff viewer — pick any two versions and see exactly what changed: text, attachments, annotations, tags, links.
  • One-click restore — restore any prior version. The restore itself is a new version, so you can roll forward again if you change your mind.
  • Author attribution — every version shows who made it and when.
  • Annotations restore alongside content — restoring a version brings back the drawings on inline images, not just the text.
