Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows/Linux) anywhere in Bower to open the command palette. It’s the fastest way to get anywhere and do anything without reaching for the mouse. Start typing and the palette pulls together several kinds of result at once — a page, a setting, your notes, or a question for Bird.

Top result

When what you type is an exact or near-exact match for a page or setting — like trash or billing — that match is promoted to a Top result at the very top and pre-selected. Press Enter to go straight there.

Search your workspace

Everything you’ve captured or imported is searchable from the palette — notes, protocols, attachments, collections, and equipment — using hybrid semantic search, so you find things by meaning, not just the exact words. Matching text is shown in context. Use the filter button beside Esc to show or hide the filter row. Bower remembers your choice. When the row is visible, choose Workspace to narrow your search by type, or select Navigation, Settings, or Help to focus on that kind of answer. When the row is hidden, the palette keeps all result types available together.

Go to

Jump straight to any part of Bower — your Dashboard, Collections, Capture Stream, Protocols, Equipment, the Knowledge Graph, Trash, or Audit logs — without hunting through the sidebar. You only ever see the destinations you have access to.

Settings

Type the name of a settings page — Profile, Security, Preferences, Connectors, Members, Billing, and more — to open it directly.

Ask Bird

Not sure where something lives, or want an answer rather than a link? Press Tab — or choose the Ask Bird row pinned at the bottom — and whatever you’ve typed is handed straight to Bird, ready for you to send. This is ideal for questions that need synthesis rather than a single result.

How to use it

1

Open the palette

Press Cmd+K / Ctrl+K from any page.
2

Type what you want

A page name, a search term, a setting, or a question.
3

Pick a result

Use the arrow keys and Enter, or click. Press Tab at any point to hand your text to Bird instead.
The expanded palette — Go to, Settings, and Ask Bird — is rolling out gradually. If your Cmd+K only shows search results for now, the rest is on its way.
