Shipped 2026-02-06 · AI Bird is Bower’s AI lab partner. It launches with three capabilities that work together: a text chat that knows your workspace, a real-time voice and video conversation mode, and an answer style that always cites the source.

What you can do today

  • Chat with Bird — a persistent chat panel in the sidebar. Ask questions about your notes, ask Bird to summarise a collection, compare experiments, or pull a specific value from a transcript.
  • Live Mode — a real-time voice and video session with Bird. Open Live Mode on your phone, point the camera at your bench, and talk to Bird while you work.
  • Inline citations — every fact in Bird’s answer is numbered and linked back to the specific note, attachment, or session it came from. No invented sources.
  • Multi-agent under the hood — Bird is structured as a small team of specialised sub-agents (research, note-writing, root). Each one is tuned for its job, and Bird routes your question to the right one.
  • Session history — chat threads persist. Rename, copy, or delete any prior session from a kebab menu on the chat list.

Why this matters

Most AI assistants either know everything (and hallucinate) or know nothing about you (and stay generic). Bird is built to know your workspace specifically — your notes, protocols, attachments, and conversation history — and to be honest about where its answers came from. The citation discipline is the core of that honesty. Bird only sees what’s in your workspace. Bower runs Bird on Google’s Vertex AI — the data stays inside our perimeter and is not used to train external models.
