Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account from Settings > Security > Danger Zone. What gets deleted:- Your profile (email, name) and authentication record
- Your workspace memberships and OAuth integrations
- Workspaces where you are the sole member, including all content and files within them
- In shared workspaces (where other members exist), your notes, files, and collections are preserved for the team. Ownership is transferred to the workspace admin.
- Audit logs are anonymised — the record of what happened is kept, but your identity is removed.
Session timeout
For security, Bower automatically signs you out after 30 minutes of inactivity. A warning appears 2 minutes before the timeout, giving you the option to stay signed in.Account security tips
- Use a strong, unique password that you don’t reuse elsewhere.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, revoke all sessions immediately and change your password.
- Review the audit logs periodically for unexpected activity.
