# Dark mode

> Switch between light and dark themes.

Bower supports light and dark themes. Dark mode reduces eye strain in low-light environments — useful for late-night write-ups or lab settings with dimmed screens.

## How to switch

1. Go to **Settings > Preferences**.
2. Under **Appearance**, select **Light** or **Dark** from the dropdown.

The change applies immediately across the entire app.
