# Save the spoken conversation of a Live protocol run as a transcript

> Bower can now save what you and Bower said during a Live protocol run as a transcript note on the run. Off by default; workspace admins and owners turn it on.

**Rolling out from 2026-10-22 · Live**

When you run a protocol in Live, Bower can now keep a transcript of the whole
spoken conversation, your lines and Bower's, as a note on the run. It's off by
default, and is reaching workspaces gradually.

## What's new

* **A workspace setting.** Admins and owners turn on **Live run transcripts**
  in **Settings > Workspace**. Members see it but can't change it.
* **A switch during the run.** **Transcript On/Off** pauses and resumes saving
  for that Live session. The transcript marks where it was paused.
* **A note on the run.** Open it from **View transcript** in the run record's
  **Summary**. It's searchable and editable like any note.
* **Your words, tidied lightly.** After the run, Bower fixes punctuation,
  capitals and filler words in your lines only. **View original transcript**
  in the note's menu shows them untouched.

## Notes

* No extra audio is recorded; the transcript comes from Live's own speech
  recognition.
* Anyone who can see the note can read the transcript.
