# Delete a workspace, with 30 days to change your mind

> The workspace Owner can now delete a workspace from Settings > Workspace. It's locked straight away and permanently deleted after 30 days, and the Owner can restore it until then.

**Shipped 2026-10-13 · Workspaces**

The workspace **Owner** can now delete a workspace themselves. Nothing is
erased straight away: the workspace is locked for 30 days, and the Owner can
restore it, unchanged, at any point in that window.

## What's new

* **Delete workspace in Settings > Workspace.** The Owner types the
workspace's name to confirm. Admins and Members see the button dimmed, with
the Owner's name, so they know who to ask.
* **Locked for everyone straight away.** The workspace leaves every member's
workspace menu, members are moved to another workspace they belong to, and
share links and pending invitations stop working.
* **Restore for 30 days.** Deleted workspaces are listed under **Scheduled for
deletion** in **Settings > Workspace**, each with its date. Click **Restore**
  and everyone has access again.
* **Your only workspace too.** If it's the last workspace you have, Bower asks
you to name a new one first, so you're never left without one.

## Notes

* **Billing stops renewing** when you delete the workspace, and the plan stays
paid until the end of the current period. Restoring turns renewal back on,
unless you had already canceled the plan yourself.
* After 30 days, everything in the workspace is permanently deleted. A record
that it existed and was deleted is kept for compliance, without the content
of your notes, file names, or titles.
