# Pin your most-used notes and collections

> A new Pinned section at the top of the sidebar keeps your go-to notes, protocols, and collections one click away. Pins are personal — yours follow you across devices, and teammates never see them.

You can now pin any note, protocol, attachment, or collection to a new **Pinned** section at the top of the sidebar — the fastest way back to the things you touch every day.

## Pins are yours, everywhere

Pins are **personal**: your pinned list is your own, and teammates in the same workspace never see it. They're stored with your account, so the same pins follow you across browsers and devices.

## How to pin

* Hover over any item in the page tree and open its **⋮** menu, then choose **Pin**.
* To remove one, choose **Unpin** from the same menu — or hover over the item in the Pinned section and click the unpin icon.

The Pinned section only appears once you've pinned something, and you can pin up to 50 items.

## A tidier sidebar to go with it

Pinned items arrive alongside a refreshed sidebar layout that's rolling out gradually:

* **Home, Search, and Chat** move into a compact icon row at the top.
* The flat **Library** views (All collections, All artifacts, All protocols, and the Equipment register) dock at the bottom of the sidebar.
* **Capture Stream** is reachable from a live activity card at the bottom of your Home dashboard.
* **Equipment register, Audit logs, and Trash** now also live under **Settings → Workspace**.

If your sidebar doesn't look like this yet, it's on its way — the refresh is rolling out in stages.
