# Microsoft OneNote — connect it, then import your notebooks

> Connect OneNote so Bird can search your notebooks, and import notebooks, sections, and pages into Bower as notes.

**Shipped 2026-06-27 · Integrations**

You can now connect **Microsoft OneNote** — and, when you're ready, bring your notebooks into Bower as notes.

## Connect it: Bird reads your notebooks

Connect OneNote in **Account Settings → Connectors** and Bird gains read access to your notebooks, sections, and pages. Ask a research question and Bird can search and surface what's in OneNote alongside everything else, the same as any other connector. It's read-only — Bird never changes anything in OneNote, and nothing lands in your knowledge base until you ask it to.

## Import it: bring notebooks into Bower

Connecting lets Bird *search* OneNote in place. **Import** makes a copy *inside* Bower: pages become notes, notebooks and sections become collections, and you can edit, link, and organise them like anything else you've captured.

On the OneNote card, click **Import**, pick the notebooks, sections, or pages you want, and choose where they land — a new collection or an existing one. The import runs in the background, page by page, and mirrors your OneNote structure. Tables, to-do checkboxes, formatting, and inline images come across. Re-importing won't create duplicates, and the source is never modified.

OneNote is the first connector you can import from.
